In this series, I work through performative self-portraiture, embodying the archetypal figures of Pierrot, Harlequin, and Columbine drawn from the tradition of commedia dell’arte. Each painting is rooted in real encounters and lived experiences, where personal memory becomes inseparable from the roles I inhabit.
The works explore identity as unstable and shifting, shaped by emotional experience rather than fixed definition. Through theatrical archetypes, I reflect on how individuals construct and perform themselves within a reality where the human subject is no longer central or secure.
Positioned between intimacy and distance, these figures reveal a condition of heightened sensitivity—where vulnerability, fragmentation, and the search for connection define contemporary existence. The series unfolds as a space where personal experience, memory, and performed identity intersect, forming a language of new fragility.
